Charter Square is a roundabout at the end of Chater Row with pedestrian tunnels underneath. To the north was the new Wellington Street Central Fire Station (which has now moved to Eyre Street) and to the east the now closed Grosvenor House Hotel. Both were closed to make way for the Sevenstone's Retail Quarter, but this is on hold due to the recession. To the south is Debenhams which forms part of The Moor Shopping Precinct.
