Peace Gardens - Pinstone Street

The Peace Gardens is an award winning public space situated along Pinstone Street, near the Winter Garden and within walking distance of the Millennium Galleries. The Peace Gardens contain the Goodwin Fountain, which has 89 individual jets of water. The fountain is dedicated to Sir Stuart Goodwin the founder of an important Sheffield steel and toolmaking firm. And have eight large water features which make up the Holberry Cascades. The Cascades are dedicated to the leader of the Sheffield Chartist Movement and are located on either side of the four entrances to the main area of the Peace Gardens.

  1. What a great post to share! I have visited Yorkshire, but I never thought something like this would be in a city like Sheffield. I get inspired by such public places and recently added a Cascade Water Feature to my garden from UK Water Features. It really creates a focal point and beautiful soothing sounds.
